Glitch Effect: what it does and when to use it
The Glitch Effect imitates the ways digital images and video break: colour channels sliding apart as on a misaligned screen, rows of pixels tearing sideways, blocks shifting as in a corrupted video file, and static noise. Scanlines add the horizontal lines of an old monitor.
Each control adds one kind of damage, so you can build anything from a subtle chromatic edge to a heavily corrupted poster. The Seed number changes the random pattern while keeping the same settings, so you can try variations until one lands well, and come back to it later.
