How do I blur the background of a photo?
Upload the photo and press Blur background. ImgVX AI finds the person or object in front, and the background is blurred in your browser, so you get a phone portrait-mode look from any photo, including ones taken without it.
Can I change how strong the blur is?
Yes: light, medium, strong or extra strong. You can also make the background slightly darker or black and white so the subject stands out even more.
Why is the edge around hair sometimes soft?
Fine hair and see-through things like glasses are the hardest part of any cut-out, so a little of the background can stay sharp next to them. A plain background behind the subject gives the cleanest edge.
Does this one upload my image?
Yes, and that is the difference between the AI tools and the rest of the site. Portrait Blur runs on ImgVX AI, our own server-side image models, which cannot run in a browser, so the image is sent to our server, processed and returned. It is deleted after processing and is never used to train anything.
What does it cost?
