Combine Images: how to use it

  1. Choose two or more images at once, in the order you want them.
  2. Choose Side by side or Stacked, and whether to match their sizes.
  3. Set the gap and background, then download the combined image.

Tips

  • Shrinking to the smallest keeps everything sharp; enlarging to the largest can soften the small ones.
  • For a before-and-after, put the original first and add a small white gap.

Combine Images: what it does and when to use it

Combine Images joins two or more pictures into one, side by side or stacked from top to bottom, keeping each image whole. It is the quick way to make a before-and-after, put two screenshots next to each other, join the pages of a receipt or a long chat into one image, or line up product shots.

Choose whether to match the images' sizes: side by side, they get the same height; stacked, the same width. Shrinking to the smallest keeps every image sharp, enlarging to the largest keeps the most detail of the big ones, and keeping the original sizes lets you align them at the start, centre or end. A gap and a background colour, or transparency, finish it.

Unlike a collage, nothing is cropped to fit a shape, so the result can be as wide or tall as the pictures need, up to the size a browser can hold. It happens on your device. For a fixed-shape grid for social media, use the Photo Collage Maker; to cut one image into pieces instead, the Image Splitter.

Combine Images: frequently asked questions

How do I put two pictures side by side?

Choose both images at once, keep Side by side, and download. They are given the same height, so they line up, and nothing is cropped. Add a gap for a before-and-after look.

How do I combine screenshots into one long image?

Choose them in order and pick Stacked, top to bottom. They are given the same width and joined into one tall image, up to the size a browser can hold.

Is there a limit on size?

Up to 20 images, and the result can be up to 16,384 pixels on a side. Anything bigger is scaled down to fit, and the result tells you. Related guide: Image sizes for every social platform.
