How do I post a full photo on Instagram without cropping?
Choose Square 1:1 or Portrait 4:5, pick a background and download. The whole photo sits inside the frame at the exact size Instagram displays, 1080 pixels wide, so Instagram has nothing to cut off. For Stories and Reels choose 9:16.
Which background looks best?
The blurred photo is the most popular because the edges carry on the colours of the picture, so the bars do not read as bars. White suits product shots and clean feeds, and the gradient picks up the colours at the top and bottom of your photo.
Does it lower the quality?
The standard size is what the platform shows anyway, so nothing visible is lost. If you want to keep every pixel, choose Keep full resolution and the canvas is built around the photo at its original size.
Are my images uploaded anywhere?
No. No Crop (Fit Photo) runs entirely inside your browser using the Canvas API. The file is read from your device, processed on your device, and the result is handed straight back to you. It never travels to a server, so there is nothing for us to store, log or leak.
Is it free, and is there a limit?
It is free with no account and no watermark. Because the work happens on your own hardware there is no per-image cost to us, so there is no quota. The only real limit is your device's memory: images beyond roughly 40 megapixels are refused rather than crashing the tab.
